is the Internet on this tv the same as if it were a PC? Interested to know if it runs flash software or streaming software. Also, does it need a sound bar?

Its almost the same as a pc, but programs like silverlight don't work.

Can the latest SMART TV's connect to the Internet via a VPN?

I live overseas and have to use a VPN to watch BBC and ITV iplayers. Is there a setting in the Samsung SMART TV internet settings to enter VPN login details so it can access these sites?

How to get the best quality from PC to the Smart 7 ?

want to get the best quality in HD / Blu-ray from my Pc to the TV wanna see the perfection what is the good way HDMI or Allshare becuse in Allshare it dosen't read the Blu-ray format and with the HDMI cable not so good as the HD in TV
