Use voice recognition to turn on TV

I'm not able to get my TV to turn on using the voice recognition function 'Hi TV Power on', it's in the user guide as a function. has anyone managed to get this to work,

I am thinking of buying a F8000. The plan to wall mount or use a cantilever stand and mount the soundbar under the TV rather than the 'floating' stand. Is this possible?

UE46f8000 "No Information" displayed for available channels ?

UE46F8000 - I am tuned to receive satellite stations. When I select "Guide", all channels are listed but "No Information" is initially displayed where programme information would normally be seen. Details only appear only after I select each individual station and, even then, the range is very limited. . Please help !.

Hi,

I would suggest resetting this TV and Re-Scanning the channels. Please press Menu ---> support ---> self diagnosis ---> reset and enter your pin.

Hi,

If the firmware will not download over the air I would suggest installing the version from our website to a USB pen and do a USB upgrade to rectify this.

Hi,

This feature is so you can watch one program and record another at the same time using a USB HDD or even watch 2 separate channels using PIP. You can even use the second tuner to watch a channel in another room using a tablet.

Question

Camera Firmware Update Failed

Each time I switch off my 46" F8000 LED TV over the past few weeks a message comes up saying that the camera firmware is being updated and the TV will switch off when done. The progress is shown to go to 100%, and the TV powers down. Only to be repeated the next tine the TV is turned off!

The TV firmware has been updated since we've had the TV, and I've checked frequently since, but it is confirmed to be up to date.

Voice recognistion coming on by itself

When i am watching tv the sound goes off and the voice recognition icon appears in the top middle of the screen but the remote is on the table with no-one touching it. I have to press back up to go back to sound. why is this happening?

Hi,

The HDMI ARC port on your TV is HDMI 3 and your HDMI cable will need to be at least version 4 if this soundbar uses ARC. The only other available option is optical audio out.

Soundshare Volume Indicator & Re-Map keys on Remote Control

Hello,

Can you help?

I recently connected the F551 soundbar to my series 8000 TV UE46F8000. However, now when I use the volume control to increase/decrease the TV volume I get an annoying massive Soundshare Volume bar bar at the bottom of my screen which gets in the way of the TV picture. Is there an option to disable this soundshare volume indicator on the TV display or even reduce the size. I have no need to see the volume displayed in such a large box as the volume information is already displayed on the soundbar LED's.

Additionally, is there a way to Re-Map the Remote Control guide key to Virgin Media guide which is the STB I use. The model number for my Virgin Media STB is a Samsung SMT-C7100 so I am surprised that the model features for this STB (Guide, Pause, Rewind) etc are not fully implemented.

Can I connect a Sky box so that the channels are accessed through Smart Hub?

When setting up on tv you can select your provider as Sky to show the channels that are on next but you will have to switch to the appropriate source to view the channels.

has anyone managed to use the slimline wall mount with this TV

Have just bought one of these and am attempting to mount it to the wall using a slimline mounting kit. there do not appear to be any mounting holes suitable for this, despite what the website says.

the only mounting points seem to be close together in the bottom section of the TV. if I use these the TV will fall off the wall.

have i bought a TV that isn't suitable for purpose or am I missing a trick?

No there are 2 freesat terminals on this TV. All you need is an aligned satellite dish connected to your TV to get freeview.

Sound sync issue over RGB/SCART connection

I am playing DVDs on an old Home Theater system connected via RGB/SCART to my F8000. The audio from my HT system is out of sync with the picture. Adjusting audio delay in the Speaker/Additional Settings does not solve this. TV audio is of course in sync with the picture

How do I remove the iPlayer app

The iPlayer app on my UE46F8000 is not working correctly. If I go into more apps I find another copy and that is ok. So what I want is to remove the iPlayer app in the Most Popular section and reinstall but going into the Samsung apps section it doesn't allow me to do that?

Have a 46" F8000 Series 8 Smart 3D Full HD LED TV and can't access BT Sport via internet because it wants Silverlight and it won't let me download it

Have BT Sport via my BT package and want to watch on the Samsung TV via the internet and BT Sport website. But when I go there it asks me to download Silverlight - when I click the link it won't allow me to access the site to download Silverlight?

If you follow the instructions below you will be able to instantly record.

Recording the Current Programme
Highlight a programme currently being aired, and select the virtual remote panel's or the regular
remote's INFO button. The information screen appears. Select Record. Record is only available for the programme currently being aired.
