I have a 46" 8000 series smart 3D TV that I bought last August and today bought an evolution kit. TV recognised the thing but after a short while it switched to a TV programme. Picture was unwatchable so then checked the smarthub but this said I needed to set up my wireless connection. Tried this but couldn't detect any network. Took kit off and fortunately system reverted and all OK. So, put kit back on and nothing worked, couldn't even turn on TV! Has anyone else had problems similar to this because I've run out of ideas. Even tried resetting TV, without kit attached and then refitting it, all to no avail. Highly likely I'll take it back for a refund and not bother again.
I recently update the firmware on my 46" es8000. (Dated 16th April 2013). Direct over the internet on the TV. What I've found now is that every so often the sound, while watching something goes garbled and then the TV suddenly restarts by itself.
To get the WiFi key you will not be using WiFi direct but Soft AP. This will allow you to connect to the TV and stream media using DLNA. Press menu --> Network ---> Soft AP and you can set the key and connect.

Has Samsung released the smart evolution pack & what does it add to the es8000 TV
I just brought a 1t hdd for my samsung es8000. Thought it was great until i went to watch something that i had recorded after 9pm (watershed). The programe i was recording had a red g next to it meaning it is a guidance labeled programme. I pressed the source button on remote and selected usb hdd drive, it takes you to allshare play. i then select the programme and it prompts me for a pin number, i put my pin in and the tv then freezes for around 30 secs and then turns off and on again and returns to normal tv. Tried turning all parental locks off and still no joy. Tried recording a g related programme after all parental locks where turned off and still no joy. If i schedule record something that is g related and go to schedule manager from the smart hub i can view the programme without having to enter a pin. why do i have to enter a pin on allshare play??? And why does it reset the tv when i do enter the pin??? Even if i don't enter a pin and cancel it the tv still freezes for 30 secs and resets its self??? Does anyone else have the same problem. Is there a way of fixing this.
We are aware of this issue and there will be a firmware update in the near future. In the mean time make sure that all parental locks and adult content filters are turned off to minimize viewing disturbance.

How can I reset wireless network details / connection?
No networks show when setting up wireless netowkr despite working fine for the first few days!
You can reset your TV. Press menu ---> Support ---> Self Diagnosis ---> Reset. This will guide you back through plug and play.

Loss of Internet
The TV is showing correctly connected to the internet although when any icon is selected I receive an error message 'Update 001'. The update software button is shown 'not available' So how can I update?????
There was an issue with the Smart Hub servers on this date, which prevented apps from correctly loading. This issue has now been resolved, although to restore full functionality to your Smart Hub, you may need to reset it: 1. Launch the Smart Hub, 2. Press TOOLS, 3. Select RESET, 4. Enter PIN (the default is 0000).
Can anone help with lipsynching and ghosting issues on my 46" ES8000
Has anyone else had issues with lipsynching being out when using Sky HD box via HDMI cable? Seems worse on non-HD channels. I'm on my second TV now and, although not as bad, it's still noticable. My old Samsung 40" LCD did not have this issue. We have also seen 'ghosting' which i'm led to beleive is an issue on lower hertz LED screens but should this still be happening on this model. Most noticable in sports such as tennis and golf.
Any ideas on how to fix will be most gratefully received.
Is there a slimline wall mount (picture hanging style) that is compatible with ES8000 46"
The VESA holes in the back of the TV are recessed meaning the standard slimline mount WMN2000 is not compatible - website even says this but doesn't offer an alternative ..... does anybody know of one?
