SOUNDBAR AND TV COMPATIBILITY

Have a new ( today ) UE40F5300 TV and a also new HW-H355/XU soundbar - the soundbar cannot find the tv - have tried optical and aux leads - how do I get them to work together

Hi Alex, Connecting the device using an optical cable does not automatically turn off the TV speakers. To turn off the TV speakers, open the Speaker Select (Screen Menu > Sound > Speaker Settings > Speaker Select) menu, then set External Speaker. Adjust the audio device's volume using its remote control. Hope this helps.

Question

Setting up Smart Hub problem

I am trying to set up the Smart Hub and when we get to the select service provider screen where you enter your postcode, I am unable to do so as I get the "Server is not responding Error 9104". So I cant set up On TV. Rebooted my router, etc and nothing will work.

Hi, When entering the postcode you will need to make sure it is set in the correct format. The set up not allow you to complete until this is correct. Hope this helps.

How to log in to my samsung account on the TV?

Everytime I try to log in to my Samsung account on my TV the screen goes back to black, Im trying to download apps for the TV but I cant get passed this first bit.

Hi Beth,

You could try resetting the Smart Hub by going to; Screen Menu > Smart Features > Reset Smart Hub.

Once you have reset the Smart Hub, navigate to the Smart Hub's Apps screen and then select More Apps screen apps located at the bottom of the screen. The list of applications currently installed on your TV is displayed. From this list, select the application you want to launch. Select Download to install the selected application.

I can confirm that this device does support screen mirroring. Please check out page 154 of the user manual provided in the link below.

Smart TV will suddenly not access Lovefilm

Had the Tv for about a week and has accessed everything fine. Came home tonight and turned it on and now all of a sudden it won't access lovefilm. It says we are not connected to the network -but when we try the troubleshoot, it says we are. Why is it doing this?

Question

require sound from TV via sounbar!

Have a 40F5300 LED series5 smart TV and a HW-E350 soundbar (both Samsung products) Soundbar works fine via blue ray & HDMI leads. But cannot get sound direct to TV despite using TV audio outputs to soundbar. Have also switched to external speaker but still no joy. The soundbar does not support digital optical sockets. Any ideas?

Unfortunately your model of TV does not support ARC, so you will not be able to connect the TV via HDMI. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
