Is my TV comparable with HW- H450 sound bar

I have connected my UE40 to a HW H450 Soundbar by optical cable. It works as an external speaker but there are brief pauses in the sound every so often. Do I need to update firmware or Chnage configuration

More Skype cameras for UE40ES5500KXXU

Hi,
I read here in Ask the community that the cameras VG-STC2000 and CY-STC1100 are compatible with UE40ES5500KXXU. Problem, it looks they are discontinued. Can I use the VG-STC3000 or VG-STC4000?

HD channels lost, wont retune

We had some disruption to the HD channels two days ago and since then we cannot get the HD channels. Have tried retuning and factory reset but nothing. Have another samsung tv on same aerial working perfectly......

4od keeps stopping post ads.

2013 tv so almost a year old. 4od buffers post ads. I have factory reset / rebooted tv. I have reinstalled hub. Have checked software - no new updates for you at the moment. I have reinstalled 4od and still it stops post ad slot. Always presents buffer screen, sometimes if I ffwd through a show it says "content currently n/a". Ch4 say its Samsung tv as it workd

I have a dark patch on the screen what causes it

the patch is about 30cm in diameter, fairly close to the centre
it can be seen mainly when the screen is light, is it repairable

The wider question is about the means to control the time available for children to watch TV. Control of the channels ( by channel rather than by programme category).Some of the old TVs seem to give more control over the TV by locking the TV buttons and relying on remote and also enabled a programmed switch off.

Hi, You can set a timer to turn on your TV. You can also set a timer that will turn off your TV. Please check out this link for the manual (page 236) for the sleep timer to turn off the TV and (page 237) for the on timer http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201211/20121110095845360/01-XTDVBEUE-ENG-1109.pdf. How to lock or even remove a digital channel from list? Samsung TV UE40ES5500. The manual indicates a menu item , Channel Lock in the Channel Menu. Was this option removed , as I can t find it?

Hi, To delete a channel from a Categroy list on the Channel screen, follow these steps: Select a category of the channel> Select a channel in the category list ( a tick will appear the side). Open the Tools menu using your remote> Select Delete. The message Delete the selected channels? appears. Select Ok. Hope this helps.

New TV firmware?

I stayed in a hotel the other day with I guess a new sammy. when changing channels it had a nice display on the right with simple text saying what the channel was playing.
On mine when you change channel you have to hit info every time to see whats on the tv.
Can this firmware not go on my tv?

Hi, The TV that you have seen is a business TV and they are set up with different settings according to the line of business. The most recent firmware for the ES5500 is 2000.2, you can download this from the website. Hope this helps.

When I try to run Amazon instant it default s to a love film screen and tells me to update Samsung Device software.
