When watching ESPN channels the footballers are extremely blurred. We have a HDMI cable and it is set to dynamic but there is no improvement. The colour sharpness is the only improvement. Disappointed

Make sure you connect to your tv using hdmi cable as this is needed for hdtv and bluray. I find movie mode to be best but this is personal taste. I have also found that the performance of the tv is so good that I have the sharpness set at 0 when on hdtv and bluray, or even sdtv. Default picture settings produce a good picture, but you could alter these to your taste depending on ambient viewing conditions.

This is all down to the feed the TV is getting. For example, if you used a Sky HD box with a HDMI cable and you view one of the HD channels the picture will be nice and crisp. If you can receive Freeview in your area try one of the Freeview HD channels. The nice clear image you saw in the show room was almost definately a HD feed.

Hi, no, you'll have to connect the TV straight to an aerial antenna as the TV has built in Freeview.

Hi, if you are referring to FreeView, you need an aerial and you must connect this using the correct cable to receive FreeView. For FreeSat a FreeSat box is required along with a satellite dish and the correct connections. We are currently offering a FreeSat product, if you're interested in finding out more visit: http://www.samsung.com/uk/set-top-box/

Question

What is the code to pair the UE40D5520 tv with a virgin media V+ remote

I have instructions from virgin media to enable me to get the v+ remote control to be able to control the tv volume. However it lists 30 possible 4 digit codes for Samsung, and it will be tedious if I have to go through all of them in turn. Does any one know which is the correct code for the UE40D5520?

because your recorder is set too 50hz as standard so sends a 50hz signal to your tv.
regardless of your tv being 100hz.

most stuff will change over in time , but unless it states 100hz or above then 50hz is the standard
