Hi.

If your charging cable detaches from the plug, then you are able to use this USB cable as a transfer cable too.

Poor battery life??

How long should the battery last during use (web surfing) on my Tab 3 8" - currently get no longer that 15-20 mins from a full charge. plus it take 5hrs+ recharge to 100%.

Battery charging

My Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8inch does not charge fully (displays a max 80% charge, and no more, whilst charging, both with unit on and off). Is there anything that I can do to fully charge the device?

Hi.

I recommend performing a factory data reset on your Galaxy Tab 3. You can do this by following these steps:
Settings - Back up and reset - Factory data reset - Reset device - Erase everything.

Performing a factory data reset will erase all data from your device. I advise that you back up your data on Samsung KIES. Please see the link below to find all of the information and tutorials on Samsung KIES:

Question

How do I access free wifi when it doesnt require a password?

When at Gambado soft play, they have free wifi but I galaxy tab can only go on Facebook and on the Google page. It cant receive emails or search the web. The manager says i need to register my name and email address but I dont know where to do this as the wifi doesnt require a password and says Im connected and I have no pop up notification. Please help.

Hi,

I would advise that you forget the network by going to, settings > network > tap on the network > press forget and then re-adding it. Once you have done this, click on your interent browser, there should be a notification that prompts you to put in an email address and password. Hope this helps.

Hi Craig.

I'd recommend performing a hardware test on the device. You do this by dialling *#0*#. This will bring up the hardware test menu, tap the touch option, this will bring up a screen to test the touch pad of the device.

If this doesn't solve the issue, you may need to perform a factory reset on the device. Ensuring you fully backup to Samsung Kies first.

Why isnt there full screen album art on the lockscreen?

On updating to KitKat the change log said there will be full screen album art on the lockscreen. this doesnt happen when music is play it just displays the controls.

Why no stereo output?

The tablet does not produce stereo sound, whether with the speakers or with a range of stereo headphones.
Using USB to my PC demonstrates that the files on the tablet are stereo.

I have solved the problem myself.
If you are only getting mono sound to your headphones from your Galaxy Tab 3 8 inch, stereo may come back if you do a soft reset.
However, if you do not want to risk losing other settings, do the following:-
Go to Settings/System/Accessibility/Hearing/Mono audio
Look at the check box and if there is a tick in it, tap to clear it.
You should then have full stereo again.
The Mono audio mode is for use with a single earphone.
The process does seem a bit more complex than it should be to switch between stereo and mono sound!
