iv just recently brought a 4GB SDHC card an it doesnt work when i put it in my laptop.. any ideas as to why?

iv tried it with the memory card locked an unlocked an still no joy. just want to know if you think its the card it self or the laptop

Hi,
I am very sorry to here that you are having this problem. It seems that the problem may be with the laptop itself. Just double check that the drivers are update and that the card is inserted the right way round. Failing this, try the card in another device to insure it is working. Let us know how you get on.

Is it on the card itself, or is it the number on the packet just below the barcode?
