notification sounds not working

Up till yesterday I was getting notification tones for txt and whatsap, nits suddenly stopped even thoughnoptions r still checkednand volume is at max. Done the re boot and reset by taking the battery out...am I missing something?

Hi Ellen,

Process.System ot responding means that your operating system has encountered an error and your phone will need factory reset. Please backup your phone using Samsung KIES. Perform a factory reset by pressing Menu > settings > Accounts > Backup and reset > Factory data reset . When this is completed please connect your phone to Samsung KIES and restore your phone.

We try to answer all queries within 2 business days depending on the volume of incoming traffic.

Hi,

Visual C# Command line complier as stopped working what does this mean

after downloading and installing Kies from your website to upgrade the Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i I was sent with the old software on I get that message I have tried to do the FOTA update but my phone tells me that I am on the upto date software when I know I am not I would like to get my phone updated to the correct software version as the old software is causing my phone to conflict

Hi Gordon,

Yes, you can delete home screens on the Galaxy Ace.

To do this please go to any home screen then press the menu button at the bottom left hand side of your phone. Select 'Edit' and drag the home screens you wish to delete to the bottom of the screen to 'Remove' (the dustbin icon).

how do I use the 'remote controls' feature?

I have my email synced up to my phone so would like to be able to use 'remote controls' to wipe the phone if stolen.

How do I do this? I've signed up for a samsung account but don't see this mentioned at all.

To wipe you phone if the device has been lost or stolen, follow the link below:

Log in using your Samsung account details and select 'Wipe phone' from the options on the left hand side. Other options included 'Find my mobile' as well as the options to call and lock/unlock the device.

why is language in spanish when master reset phone and how do you change it?

i have had to master reset my gt-s5830 but when i turn it on, it all comes up in spanish and cannot figure out how to change it. i have managed to get into settings and change language to english but some of the apps are still in spanish and when click onto the internet or want to download apps, this is all in spanish too. any ideas how you chane it all to english please?

What do I do when my phone doesn't charge?

I've tried 4 different usb chargers connected to mains and my PC. They all work in my brothers s3 but not my Ace. I've also tried getting fluff out of the port , but that didn't work either. Who should I contact to fix it? The place where I brought it from , the network I'm on contract with , Samsung or my insurance ?

Your phone comes with a 2 years manufactures warranty so providing it is a manufactures fault causing this charging problem, we can fix this under the warranty.

How do I put a new text ringtone in.

I have downloaded a new ringtone via Bluetooth and want to use it to answer text messages I can get this into ringtones but not into notification tones for texts can I do this if so how do I do it I seem to have this saved everywhere on my phone but not where I want it. Thank you Kind regards

Hi,

You may not be able to set it as a message tone, it would depend on the format of the file.

You change your message tone by navigating to the following menu:

Messages > Tap on the menu key at the bottom left hand side of the handset > Scroll down to Notification Settings > Select Ringtone.

Battery constantly shows as charging when unplugged, phone randomly shuts off

Over the past 2 weeks my phone has increasingly become more unreliable by switching off when it has only recently been charged and the battery still has plenty of charge. The phone constantly shows the charging (battery charging symbol) when the phone has been unplugged. As the main carer for my children I need to be available to contact 24/7 when they are at school and this is causing me serious issues as I am constantly unable to rely on my mobile phone as a point of contact. I have updated phone with all available updates showing via my mobile on the Samsung website.
Urgent advice needed!

I used to use wi-fi without any problems. But last week sometime my phone stopped picking up wi-fi signals. The place where the wi-fi networks used to come up, is blank and it just says "scanning".

phone lock on my samsung galaxy ace gt-s5830i

i woke up today and checked my phone and onscreen asked me to enter password to unlock it.i didnt lock it last night so i tried my pin code that i use to lock it and it said sorry try again.i then took the battery out and back in put my sim lock code in no problem but again asked for phone lock password.i cant understand how this could have happened.can anyone help please.thank you
