Hi Peter,

The Galaxy Ace does not have a front camera, you can still use Skype to make voice calls however.

You can use a Spanish Sim card in the phone, the network however will only connect in Spain. If you are having problems connecting your phone to the network in Spain we recommend contacting the Network provider.

Hi,

There are only certain applications that are able to be stored to an memory/SD card. To make sure an application can be saved to the SD card please follow these steps:

Go to settings > Find Application Manager > Slide across until ‘All applications’ are viewable > Tapping on an application will bring up separate window and if it is possible to save this app to the SD card then the option will be on the screen. If the option is not there then I’m afraid it is only possible to save this app to the phone memory.

We recommend saving media files such as photos and videos to the SD card to free up phone memory for applications.

Thanks

Hi,

The best way to transfer theses files is to drag and drop/copy and paste them onto your desktop. The steps on how to do this are as follows;
1.) Connect your Ace to your PC via the USB cable, this will be viable on your PC as GT-S5830.

2.) Open GT-S5830 to view files.

3.) Locate your pictures. Folder named DCIM if they are camera pictures and Pictures if they are downloaded.

4.) Drag and drop/copy and paste them onto the PC desktop.

Thanks.

Hi Kate,

It is most likely a minor software confliction that is causing this issue to occur.

These minor software issues can easily be resolved by performing a factory reset on your device.

You can perform a factory reset on your device by navigating to the following menu:

Settings > Backup and reset > Factory data reset

Please note you will lose all applications and saved data, including your Google account, so ensure that you back up your device prior to performing the reset. This may help resolve any issues you are having.

If you continue to experience these issues after the reset please contact our Technical Support Team for further assistance on 0330 7267964.

Question

My phone keeps running out of memory

Whenever I try downloading an app the message appears that my internal memory is full and to delete apps. I only have a few apps on my phone so this does not make sense. I have deleted a lot of text messages and whatsapp messages plus cleared my phone call logs and still there doesn't seem to be space. I have bought an sd card and tried to transfer things to that but the apps cannot be transferred. Any idea

However there may be third party applications available in the Google Play store on your phone that may provide this service.

Hi,

The Galaxy Ace takes a standard sized SIM card, providing the SIM card from your previous phone is the same size your can insert the SIM card in to your Ace and import contacts from SIM once they are displayed on screen. This will save the contacts on the Galaxy Ace phone memory.

Question

Samsung Galaxy Ace - SD card error problem

ever since purchasing my Galaxy Ace I have intermittently had problems with SD card not being recognised, then working with no problem for a while. Sent phone for "repair" via Vodafone (seems they just reset it!!!) still happening but more frequently - changing SD card doesn't make much difference - cards work for a bit, then not recognied, then OK again???!!!!!!
Any ideas of how to fix would be gratefully received as after using Samsung phones for many years I'm not currently intending on buying another Samsung!!!

Hi,

You can try formatting your microSD card by following the steps below:

1) From the standby screen, tap Applications.

2) Select Settings.

3) Select Storage.

4) Select Format SD card (Please note: If this option is disabled, select the option to Unmount SD card first).

6) Select Erase everything.

7) After the card is erased, select Mount SD card.

Please note the actual menu items may differ slightly for your device, depending on which firmware version you are running, however the general process should be very similar.

Please also note that formatting a microSD memory card will erase any data currently on the card, so you may wish to back up any existing data first. It will also create the necessary multimedia directories compatible for use with the device.

If you continue to experience these issues after formatting your SD card please contact our Technical Support Team for further assistance on 0330 7267964.

Hope this helps,

Thanks
