Hi,

The Galaxy Ace takes a standard sized SIM card, providing the SIM card from your previous phone is the same size your can insert the SIM card in to your Ace and import contacts from SIM once they are displayed on screen. This will save the contacts on the Galaxy Ace phone memory.

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no way of blocking numbers directly from the phone.

However there may be third party applications available in the Google Play store on your phone that may provide this service.

Question

SD Card problems and file transfer

1.
There is an empty SD card of 2 GB in my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i but there is no use of it (and it's completely new) because phone keeps telling me to mount it.

2.
With last and updated version of Kies, I can't transfer files from my PC to phone. What should I do?

Hi,

The best way to transfer theses files is to drag and drop/copy and paste them onto your desktop. The steps on how to do this are as follows;
1.) Connect your Ace to your PC via the USB cable, this will be viable on your PC as GT-S5830.

2.) Open GT-S5830 to view files.

3.) Locate your pictures. Folder named DCIM if they are camera pictures and Pictures if they are downloaded.

4.) Drag and drop/copy and paste them onto the PC desktop.

notification sounds not working

Up till yesterday I was getting notification tones for txt and whatsap, nits suddenly stopped even thoughnoptions r still checkednand volume is at max. Done the re boot and reset by taking the battery out...am I missing something?

Hi Anonymous,

To move apps onto sd card go to Settings>Application Manager>Select the app>Tap move to sd card.

Please note this cant be done with embedded applications.

To move to sd card go to My Files>SD card0>Select the file you want to move and tap move on the top right hand corner of the screen>Select EXT SD card and then tap move here.

GT S5830i

My PC does not recongise this device! When I connected the USB to my PC I got this message: CDC abstract control model - and then: cannot install this hardware. My PC runs XP and is about 9 years old. Can anybody please offer a solution?

How do I stop the echo on my phone?

There is an echo of my voice when I call people and also when people call me. They can sometimes hear it, sometimes not (which is odd).

Any ideas what is causing this and how I get rid of it?

Hi Ellen,

Process.System ot responding means that your operating system has encountered an error and your phone will need factory reset. Please backup your phone using Samsung KIES. Perform a factory reset by pressing Menu > settings > Accounts > Backup and reset > Factory data reset . When this is completed please connect your phone to Samsung KIES and restore your phone.

We try to answer all queries within 2 business days depending on the volume of incoming traffic.

Visual C# Command line complier as stopped working what does this mean

after downloading and installing Kies from your website to upgrade the Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i I was sent with the old software on I get that message I have tried to do the FOTA update but my phone tells me that I am on the upto date software when I know I am not I would like to get my phone updated to the correct software version as the old software is causing my phone to conflict

How do I allow my contacts list on my Galaxy Ace to be automatically transferred to my car audio system via Bluetooth?
