This has been asked before but nobody seems to be giving any answers. Why will my Galaxy Ace GT-S583i no longer connect to my PC using Kies?
I have the latest version of Kies and have updated my phone. I have tried to uninstall Kies in order to reinstall it but my PC will not let me as it cannot find the installation source. What is it talking about. Why does nobody from Samsung give any answers?
I have exactly the same problem, and it is the same on 2 different PCs running XP and Win7. It has connected on a very few occasions but won't connect at all now, even though it initially recognises the phone. Have re-installed it more times than I can remember but no use. Windows explorer sees it no problem though. Had the same experience with a GT-B2710 too. Think the Kies software must just be rubbish.

Unable to download photos from my Sansung Galaxy to my laptop
It is most likely a minor software confliction that is causing this issue to occur.
These minor software issues can easily be resolved by performing a factory reset on your device.
You can perform a factory reset on your device by navigating to the following menu:
Settings > Backup and reset > Factory data reset
Please note you will lose all applications and saved data, including your Google account, so ensure that you back up your device prior to performing the reset. This may help resolve any issues you are having.

can i change the text message box colour? im not fond of the blue/yellow :/
is there a way to pick new colours for text messages? like purple of something the blue/yellow bugs me hehe
If you go to the message settings you can change the 'skins' which give different appearances and colour schemes for the text messages. I haven't yet found a way to change the bubble's colours on the default skin either, if you manage to find out please let us know :o)

why do i have to charge my battery daily when i hardly use the phone .. maybe one txt made and one recieved but still battery goes flat
Do you have wi-fi turned on? If so turn it off in Settings - Wireless and networks -Wifi settings). This drains the battery daily if left on all the while on my Galaxy Ace. battery life will last 4 - 5 days if turned off. I only turn wifi on now when needed.
I also untick use Packet Data (Settings - Wireless and networks - Mobile networks) and only tick again if I want to use internet and have no wifi available.
If you go to messaging and select settings you will be given the choice to delete old messages, just select the message limit and all old messages after this amount will be erased automatically. You can also delete a message by long holding on it and selecting delete, entries in your call list can be deleted in the same manner.

ive just got a galaxy ace phone & i dont know how to use it i had a samsung tocco before & it was so easy to use but the galaxy ace is doing my head in please help

When adding a new contact how do you add more detail apart from telephone number and e-mail address. I like to add mobile and home phone numbers.
