Hi Daniel,

I would reccommend that you download Samsung Kies http://www.samsung.com/uk/search/?q=kies. Once you have downloaded this, you can connect your phone to your PC with the USB cable that came in your box. How can I stop Samsung Galaxy Ace Media Volume keep defaulting to 50%?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830. The Media Volume is 50% by default in Settings. If I increase the volume, either using the volume button on the side when music is playing, or within Settings, then whenever I disconnect and reconnect an audio jack from the phone to my car stereo, the phone Media Volume returns to 50%. How can I get it to stop defaulting to 50%? I would prefer it to stay at a louder volume, to make it a similar volume to the CD and Radio in my car and not have to keep turning the Car Volume up and down.

Will the phone work in the USA?

I am currently with Virgin Mobile and I want to use the phone for online check-in when I go on holiday.
When I have had a look online, some people can't use their phones in other countries, will I be able to use this phone in the USA?

There should be an option for no sound under the Shutter Sound options on the Camera app.

Hi,

You can forward on a message by following these steps:

1. Open the message thread containing the message you wish to forward
2. Press and hold down on the particular message you are forwarding
3. Message options will appear on the screen
4. Select Forward and enter the contact details

phone lock on my samsung galaxy ace gt-s5830i

i woke up today and checked my phone and onscreen asked me to enter password to unlock it.i didnt lock it last night so i tried my pin code that i use to lock it and it said sorry try again.i then took the battery out and back in put my sim lock code in no problem but again asked for phone lock password.i cant understand how this could have happened.can anyone help please.thank you

Why can I not get Whatsapp

I recently purchased this item and I am having problems with it. I do not have any websites saved on phone. I have tried putting whatsapp on my phone to be able to send pics. It will not allow me to do this. The first few times I have tried I kept being informed that their was an error, then I keept trying but I just kept being informed that I have insurficient memory. It will not let me past this in anyway so it just takes me back to the lnstall. I have also been having problems when people send me a picture or a text message that is more than 1 page long it will not bring up the details it prompts me to go to a web page to be able to retreve the picture/text message. I have also tried installing you tube and once it is installed I get text messages every day saying insurficient memory, but I do not have anything loaded that would take up the memory. Please help as I am getting to the stage where I will bring the phone back. I know 4 other people who have exactly the same phone and they do not have any of these problems, infact it is them telling me that I should have whatsapp on my phone and they cannot install it onto my phone. Please Help

Question

I have magic jack on my phone and I notice it takes up 740kb's.

I upgraded my memory card to 16gb and still I get a message of low memory. Is there a difference when you download a program to the phones memory or to the memory card Can I download magic jack to the memory card?
No downloads other than the basic ones that came with the phone and this hasn't helped.

Hi Barb,

Unfortunately, there are only certain applications that can be saved to SD card.

Please navigate to the following menu to see if a particular app can be moved to the SD card:

Go to Settings > Find Application Manager > Slide across to All Apps > Find the Magic Jack app > If this app can be saved to the SD card then the option will be on the screen.

Please ensure you have all your media files saved to your SD card. IF you are still experiencing this problem, we would recommend you perform a factory reset on your device to clear up any unwanted data from the memory.

To do this please navigate to the following menu:

Settings > Back up and Reset > Factory Data Reset.

To do this please navigate to the following menu:

Apps > Calendar > Select the date you wish to set an event > Enter the details including the time you wish to be reminded > You can then set how many reminders you would like for this event.

Why has my phone stopped picking up any wi-fi signals?

I used to use wi-fi without any problems. But last week sometime my phone stopped picking up wi-fi signals. The place where the wi-fi networks used to come up, is blank and it just says "scanning".

Question

Battery constantly shows as charging when unplugged, phone randomly shuts off

Over the past 2 weeks my phone has increasingly become more unreliable by switching off when it has only recently been charged and the battery still has plenty of charge. The phone constantly shows the charging (battery charging symbol) when the phone has been unplugged. As the main carer for my children I need to be available to contact 24/7 when they are at school and this is causing me serious issues as I am constantly unable to rely on my mobile phone as a point of contact. I have updated phone with all available updates showing via my mobile on the Samsung website.
Urgent advice needed!

How do I put a new text ringtone in.

I have downloaded a new ringtone via Bluetooth and want to use it to answer text messages I can get this into ringtones but not into notification tones for texts can I do this if so how do I do it I seem to have this saved everywhere on my phone but not where I want it. Thank you Kind regards

Hi,

You may not be able to set it as a message tone, it would depend on the format of the file.

You change your message tone by navigating to the following menu:

Messages > Tap on the menu key at the bottom left hand side of the handset > Scroll down to Notification Settings > Select Ringtone.
