Unfortunately there is no way of blocking numbers directly from the phone.

However there may be third party applications available in the Google Play store on your phone that may provide this service.

Question

SD Card problems and file transfer

1.
There is an empty SD card of 2 GB in my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i but there is no use of it (and it's completely new) because phone keeps telling me to mount it.

2.
With last and updated version of Kies, I can't transfer files from my PC to phone. What should I do?

notification sounds not working

Up till yesterday I was getting notification tones for txt and whatsap, nits suddenly stopped even thoughnoptions r still checkednand volume is at max. Done the re boot and reset by taking the battery out...am I missing something?

What do I do when my phone doesn't charge?

I've tried 4 different usb chargers connected to mains and my PC. They all work in my brothers s3 but not my Ace. I've also tried getting fluff out of the port , but that didn't work either. Who should I contact to fix it? The place where I brought it from , the network I'm on contract with , Samsung or my insurance ?

Your phone comes with a 2 years manufactures warranty so providing it is a manufactures fault causing this charging problem, we can fix this under the warranty.

Please contact a member of our Galaxy support team on 0330 726 7864 who can arrange this for you or you can walk in to one of our local Samsung service centers to have the phone inspected there and then.

How do I put a new text ringtone in.

I have downloaded a new ringtone via Bluetooth and want to use it to answer text messages I can get this into ringtones but not into notification tones for texts can I do this if so how do I do it I seem to have this saved everywhere on my phone but not where I want it. Thank you Kind regards

Hi,

You may not be able to set it as a message tone, it would depend on the format of the file.

You change your message tone by navigating to the following menu:

Messages > Tap on the menu key at the bottom left hand side of the handset > Scroll down to Notification Settings > Select Ringtone.

Question

Battery constantly shows as charging when unplugged, phone randomly shuts off

Over the past 2 weeks my phone has increasingly become more unreliable by switching off when it has only recently been charged and the battery still has plenty of charge. The phone constantly shows the charging (battery charging symbol) when the phone has been unplugged. As the main carer for my children I need to be available to contact 24/7 when they are at school and this is causing me serious issues as I am constantly unable to rely on my mobile phone as a point of contact. I have updated phone with all available updates showing via my mobile on the Samsung website.
Urgent advice needed!

This may be caused by a firmware glitch on your device, in order to resolve it we recommend performing a factory data reset on your Ace.

Why has my phone stopped picking up any wi-fi signals?

I used to use wi-fi without any problems. But last week sometime my phone stopped picking up wi-fi signals. The place where the wi-fi networks used to come up, is blank and it just says "scanning".

phone lock on my samsung galaxy ace gt-s5830i

i woke up today and checked my phone and onscreen asked me to enter password to unlock it.i didnt lock it last night so i tried my pin code that i use to lock it and it said sorry try again.i then took the battery out and back in put my sim lock code in no problem but again asked for phone lock password.i cant understand how this could have happened.can anyone help please.thank you

There should be an option for no sound under the Shutter Sound options on the Camera app.

Android phones cannot download applications from Samsung Apps

After I downloaded the application files via Kies on my Windows 7 PC, I copied it to my phone and attempted to run the .app file. Android phones in fact only support .apk applications. But all applications on Samsung Apps downloaded via Kies has a .app format. Also, there is no option to update my firmware via Kies even though my phone is synchronized with it. Am I doing something wrong or am I forced to download apps directly from my phone? (I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace)
