Hi, Have you tried factory resetting your phone? You can do this by: Pressing and holding the power button for 8-10 seconds. Your device will then reboot automatically. Please note you will need to back up all data as this will erase all information on your phone and take it back to when you first purchased it. Hope this helps.

Phone not dialling

I highlight favourite number, press dial but nothing happens, I keep pressing, move the phone around, press a few more times and then it connects. Same happens when I try to text , the letters will not appear in the message box. The phone is three weeks old.

Hi Angie, You could try resetting your phone. You can do this by: Pressing Settings> Privacy> Factory data reset> Reset phone> Erase everything. This will reboot your device. Hope this helps.

Hi Nikki, When you send a text message it creates a thread, this then stays with that contact you have sent a message to. You are then able to click on that message and scroll back to past messages. If you have started to write a message and then exit out of that screen the message is automatically saved for you. Hope this helps.

Question

Galaxy Y not finding wifi networks

I think I might have deleted something I shouldnt have. When I go to wifi settings the scan just doesnt find networks. Other devices in the same room do find it, so I know the network is working. Also, in advanced settings, the MAC address and IP address are unavailable.
How do I get it back?

Hi.

I recommend performing a factory data reset on your Galaxy Y. You can do this by following these steps:
Settings - Back up and reset - Factory data reset - Reset device - Erase everything.

Performing a factory data reset will erase all data from your device. I advise that you back up your data on Samsung KIES. Please see the link below to find all of the information and tutorials on Samsung KIES:

my phone got hanged and then i reboot system and its got jammed on that and says appling muti-csc-- then i downloaded samsung kies on my computer

then i downloaded samsung kies on my computer and attached a usb wire to this phone it keeps on displaying message that insert the disk that came with your cdc abstract control model (acm) when i purchased this phone there was no cd with the software included PLEASE REPLY (ASAP)

KIES FAILING EVERY TIME

Cannot find BCM21553-Thunderbird anywhere on Samsung. Question, where the heck can I find it. KIES IS FAILING TO DOWNLOAD EVERY TIME have tried 4 times so far and each time KIES will not connect to my Galaxy Y time Samsung sorted this out.

Hi Mohammed,

You could try doing a hard reset. Remove and re-insert the battery.With the phone off, hold down the Volume Up, Menu and Power buttons at the same time for approximately 10 seconds. Release the buttons when you see the Android logo. This will access the unlock/reset menu. You can navigate through the unlock/reset menu using the volume buttons to scroll up and down and the power button to confirm selections. Scroll down and select Wipe Data/Factory Reset. When prompted scroll down and select Yes - Delete All User Data.The phone should reboot automatically. If it does not scroll to and select Reboot System Now. The phone will then reboot to its factory settings with the security lock removed. Please be aware that all of your personal settings including any changes you have made to your profile or wallpaper will be erased. Hope this helps.

Are there any error messages when you try to load Kies? Here is a link to show you how to download photos to your PC through Kies; http://skp.samsungcsportal.com/integrated/popup/FaqDetailPopup3.jsp?cdsite=uk&seq=937465. If this won't work, you could try using PC mass storage. Once connecting your device to your PC using the USB, a window will pop up saying PC mass storage. Click on this, and the you can drag and drop files from your phone to your PC. Hope this helps.

i saw some videos about that and i apply it on my phone but i really dont have that update.list file... Is it required before i can root my cellphone?
is it because the internet application always popping up on top of the screen any where i go...i hate it...T_T
