I bought the Galaxy tab 2 10 specifically for browsing flash enabled websites and video playback. Yes out of the box adobe flash player is not installed. However there are numerous youtube videos detailing how to easily install adobe flash player onto the device. I have the latest version installed and happily browsing flash heavy websites with no problems - simple!

It does not come pre-install from the box, but can be install from adobe archives website. Any one looking it install adobe flash player should do this.

Go to setting
Security, check on unknown sources, when finish click ok to exit settings.
Lunch browser and search adobe archives
From the archives look for adobe flash player for android 4.0 and click to install
After installation you are done and ready to go. If possible reboot your tablet, not necessarily.

I hope this will help any one looking to install adobe flash player on his/her tablet

The Tab 2 does support flash. It isn't installed you have to install it yourself.
Go to the Adobe site and search for the archive. Find the latest version of flash for android and install it. Your Tab should now run flash sites with no problems.
I use a lot of flash heavy sites and have had no problems.

Yes, I agree it doesn't support flash player which is a shame!! Now one cannot browse the internet seamlessly!! I tried downloading few apps but with no avail.

yes it does support flash..go to the adobe flash archive and download an older version of flash for android and install it, eventually it will then update itself.

I had lots of conflicting advice, so just spent half hour on the phone to Samsung tech support. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" does NOT come with Flash pre-installed, and it has been removed from the Google Play Store. So in short, -NO- it does not support Flash player.

From google searches, it seems the GT-P5100 codes relate to the 3G version of the tablet, whereas the GT-P5110 codes relate to the WiFi version.

I tried to register for cashback, but had to wait until it was 15 days past the date of purchase so had to wait until Saturday 1st December. You should see a battery charging animation on the screen when it is charging (although the screen switches off after a while). If you didn't see this immediately after plugging in then you maybe have a faulty Tab or charger. My Tab had around 30% full battery when I bought it.

Hi Mvoak1,

As this is a WiFi only device it does not support SIM cards. Model: GT-P5100 is WiFi and 3G therefore a SIM card can be used in this device.

Is there a way to put an admin password on the tab 2?

My brother has a Galaxy tab 2 10.1 wifi only, he has disabilities so doesnt really understand what he is doing, he just clicks everywhere, turning off wifi and resetting the whole device, is there a way i can put a password onto the device to limit access to the settings?
