There is no current release date for the 4.3 Jelly Bean update on the Galaxy Tab 2. Keep an eye on the Samsung website for any future updates.

Hi.

If you are connecting your device to the computer without Samsung Kies then please try these steps:

1. Remove all previously installed Samsung software or drivers.
2. Connect your device to the computer.
3. Allow the computer to detect the device and install the drivers.
I also recommend installing Samsung Kies on to you computer. This will also detect the device and store its data. Please see the link below to find all of the information and tutorials on Samsung KIES:

If the above steps haven’t rectified the problem try the process again, however using a different USB port on the computer. Also if possible, try the process with a new USB cable.

Why wont my tablet turn on or charge?

Yesterday my GT-P5110 tablet switched off and now will not turn on. I have tried plugging into the charger as I thought the battery may be flat however, there is no indication on the screen to show that the tablet is charging.
I have had no problems with my tablet previously. The tablet is 19 months old.

Hi Veronica,

You need to do a factory reset on the tablet. Try holding down the Volume Up, Menu and Power buttons at the same time for approximately 10 seconds. Release the buttons when you see the Android logo. This will access the unlock/reset menu. You can navigate through the unlock/reset menu using the volume buttons to scroll up and down and the power button to confirm selections. Scroll down and select Wipe Data/Factory Reset. When prompted scroll down and select Yes - Delete All User Data. The tablet should reboot automatically. If it does not scroll to and select Reboot System Now. Performing a reset will delete all your personal settings. Hope this helps.

Hi Clare,

You can either use mass storage or Kies software to manage your files from your PC. To use mass storage, connect your device to your PC using the USB cable provided in the box. Once you have done this, a window will pop up, choose mass storage. You can then, drag and drop files from your device to the PC. why is there a red cross above the battery charging symbol on the top right hand corner when I plug in my charger???????? please help me

a red cross appears when I plug the charger in, it appears over the battery symbol in the top right hand corner, the lightening bolt shows, to say its charging but has a red cross, I have it plugged in in my bedroom, it shows up when I plug it in anywhere in the house apart from the living room, it only charges properly which is strange, I think the chargers fine because I tried my cousins charger and the same thing happens, please help

Hi Charles,

If you have a Samsung TV, you can connect your tab to your TV via screen mirroring. If you don't have a Samsung TV, you can use DNLA, This option will not screen mirror, however it will just show pictures or videos that are showing on your Tab. You can also purchase a cable that connects your tab to your TV from most major online and high street retailers.

Question

I cant view saved pages since firmware update...

Last night my Tab 2 10.1 wanted me to do a firmware update, which I did. I much prefer how my tab was before, but I guess I can live with it.
What does concern me is that I had a lot of saved pages to read on the go. Although you can still see the icon for each on the saved pages menu, I am not able to open & read them (on or off line) since the firmware update. I have tried saving a few pages since the update & they will not open either.
Can anyone advise me on what I can do??
