Question

my factory reset has not completed correctly.

My galaxy tab 2 was running very slowly so I decided to wipe it and start again. THe factory reset has not completed correctly and when booting my device is stuck on "your name" screen. Ive tried rebooting and even re doing the reset from the manual menu.

Why cant I log into any of my online accounts on my tab.2

In order to be able to log into my various online accounts, I have to set it up. However, I am told that I have reached the max no of accounts. Not sure if I need to change something in the settings. I thought the idea of a tablet was to allow you to log into any website like you would on a laptop

Hi Phil,

This may be due to the type of accounts you are trying to log on to. You should be able to log on to your accounts through the internet browser but there will be limitations due to the amount of memory they will take up on your Tab 2.

It might be worth giving our contact centre a call as we could use more information on the type of accounts you are trying to access and to see if there is anything we can do help you with this.

Casting with Samsunf Galaxy Tab2 10.1

Trying to cast to my television using chromecast !

When I go to Cast from my tablet there is no CAST written in the list. I am told that the TV is recognizing my signal but when I go to attempt to cast I have no symbol showing at all.
Help if you can please as I would love to be able to cast some films for my grandchildren over Christmas.

Can my Tablet be repaired?

My galaxy tablet 2 10.1 has stopped working, I can only turn it on if I hold the power button with the volume up button, it then has the android man on saying uploading do not turn off... and freezes on that screen,can you tell me what has happened and can this be repaired?

Samsung Hub issues

My galaxy tab 2 has samsung hub. When I open the app it says that the page I am looking for has eithet been removed or is down. It has been like this for over a week. Any ideas or can I just remove the app itself. I have already done a force stop and cleared the cache

Hi.

I recommend performing a factory data reset on your Galaxy Tab 2. You can do this by following these steps:
Settings → Back up and reset → Factory data reset → Reset device → Erase everything.

Performing a factory data reset will erase all data from your device. I advise that you back up your data on Samsung KIES. Please see the link below to find all of the information and tutorials on Samsung KIES:

Why by inserting sim card into GT-P5100 the WiFi and GPS wont work?

After I insert sim card into my device (Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1/ GT-P5100) it doesnt recognize any wireless network around and its GPS doesnt work. I have tried many times by turning off the device and other ways but it still has the problem. Worse than that is that I have to "Reset to Factory Settings" to make everything work again.

This could either be an issue with the battery its self or the charger. I'd recommend taking the device to your local Samsung service centre to have the device looked at by one of our engineers. You can find your local service centre using the link below.

You can check for updates by going to settings, about device and software update.

Alternatively you can connect your Tab to Samsung Kies and see if there is an update available there.
