Question

Why do I have problems writing to and playing mp4 from a Samsung 32G µSD card on my tab 2 7"

I have tried 3 different 32G µSD cards in my Tab 2 7" and MP4 files don't always seem to copy correctly - the video won't play them but it will play them when copied to on-board memory...

When I try deleting them it won't delete them...

So something seems wrong with the Tab 2's SD card reading capability...

Why does my tab 2 battery flash blue when I try to charge it & it doesn't charge?

When it's plugged in to charge, the battery indicator pops up, shows a blue instead of green colour at the base then disappears and pops back up repeatedly but doesn't charge.

i switch on the tab for the first time and i get is the time and a flashing cursor what do i type

i have several samsung products this is what influenced me buying the galaxy tab 2 7.But I cannot get through to set up.On the tab all i get is the time.a different location and a flashing cursor.What do I need to type in.I get the 4 icons at the bottom

Hi Jennifer,

When emails are deleted from the tablet, a copy still remains on the server. When you go back to your tablet after deleting them, your emails will have sync again to the emails on the server, and so are re-appearing.

To prevent this happening, you will need sign in to your email account from a computer and delete from there also- this will ensure the email is completely deleted from the server.

As this is something you have to set when adding your account, if you want to make this a permanent setting on your tablet you will have to remove your email account from the email application and, when you go to re-add it ensure that the ‘delete message from server’ option is ticked.

No, memory cannot be upgrade on a Tab.

Although you can purchase an SD card to add to the external; memory of your Tab.

After a number of failed attempts the Tab will ask you for your Google Play Store account details.

If you cannot remember these call our Galaxy Team on 0330 726 7864 who will assist you in getting the device flashed.

Please note that proof of purchase is required and this is not covered by the manufactures warranty as it is not a manufacturing default.

Hi Short617,

Please note your can only save certain applications to your SD card.
If the app can be saved to the SD card the option will be available in your application manager. You can find this by going in to your Settings > Application Manager > the option to move apps to the SD card storage will be given to apps where this option is available.

If you are wanting your photos and videos to save automatically to your SD card rather than your storage you can change this by going to Camera > Settings > Storage > Memory Card.

Question

Wi-Fi Won't Start

Everything has been running fine on a Tab2 7 until this morning when WiFi appears to have turned itself off. When you go into settings and attempt to turn WiFi back on it refuses to do so - after a few attempts it gives in and says: To see available networks, turn on Wi-Fi.

Two factory resets haven't resolved the issue.

Router hardware appears ok as other devices are still working, and the tablet hasn't been dropped or suffered from any other impact.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Question

How to fix a basically dead tablet?

I received my tablet in mid-April. In the last month or since late last month, it has been having battery problems. It seemed to be out-of-sync. When I was about to go on my anti-virus software, my tablet suddenly turned itself off. no logo, no warning, battery was at 11%. Now I can't seem to get it to turn on, and it has been charging. If I try to turn it on, it will come up with the battery logo thingy and won't turn on after that like it used to, and i have to wait ages afterwards to get the battery logo thingy up again (which is definitely not what happens normally). I am sure it is not a virus though, as I had previously scanned it when I first saw problems. Also on the day, the screen was constantly changing its brightness, not too much but still noticeable, but it was at the same as normal. What should i do about it?

It is most likely a minor software confliction that is causing this issue to occur.

These minor software issues can easily be resolved by performing a factory reset on your device.

You can perform a factory reset on your device by navigating to the following menu:

Settings > Backup and reset > Factory data reset

Please note you will lose all applications and saved data, including your Google account, so ensure that you back up your device prior to performing the reset. This may help resolve any issues you are having.

Try sending it to Samsung, or sending them a email, or calling them. It might be the battery, not just the screen, as i had similar problems, but turned out to be caused by charger/battery
