Question

Is there any way to extend the battery time? I will be taking a 10 1/2 hour flight with my 2 year old. We will obviously have it in flight mode.

This is for the Galaxy 2 tablet without 3g.

Hi,

I have included below some hints and tips to help you get the most from your battery life.

Flight mode: This is a great one as it disables a lot of background services such as network signal, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

Check your display settings: Long screen time-out settings, or high display brightness, will increase battery drain. For better battery life, please set the screen time-out to 15 seconds and display brightness to Auto.

Multimedia usage: Any apps/content usage that keeps the device awake over an extended period will quickly drain the battery - e.g. reading books, playing games, watching movies, etc. Try to manage your length of time on these activities in order to conserve battery life.

I bought a Galaxy Note 10.1 in September and find it unbelievable that it does less than my 2 year old Galaxy Tab 2 7".

The main reason for the purchase was to download programs from BBC i player and Sky Go + as I work away from home 3 days a week. Guess what old operating system - Sky Go + app is not available and there is no download facility with BBC i player.
As a flagship product I am very disappointed with the Note 10.1 and will give it the lowest possible scores in reviews.
In short it has been a total waste of money as I don't even use it

Please backup your tab using Samsung KIES. Perform a factory reset by pressing Menu > settings > Accounts > Backup and reset > Factory data reset . When this is completed please connect your tab to Samsung KIES and restore your tab.

I have a Samsung USB connector in order to read CF cards on my Note 10.1 It worked a while ago but now states S3C driver not found.

Hi Joe70sd,

The standard warranty on a new note 10.1 is 2 years but this would depend on the warranty being offered by the seller as we require the original proof of purchase to validate a Samsung warranty.

Question

Apart from the size, what are the differences between the Note 8 and 10.1 tablets?

I can't decide whether to get a Samsung Galaxy Note 8" or 10" tablet. The 8" would fit in my handbag where the 10" won't. I mainly want it to read university books whilst going to work on the train so want a tablet with a pen specifically to make notes on the books. The info on the Samsung website makes the 10" look like it has better functionality but is that really the case?

the screen on my tab has gone black

it is fully charged and i can still hear notifications pinging through so i know it is turned on and working. the screen is black and wont respond to any touch so i cant turn it off..... HELP???

I have a samsung note 10.1, i have had it for just under a year. Is there a 12 month guarantee?

The battery life was good at first but now it barely lasts an hour. It has also become very slow. I have tried deleting most of my apps but there is still no change.

Charging time for Samsung Note 10.1

My Samsung Note 10.1 is now taking 10 hours to charge 40% using supplied cable and supplied wall charger. Is there a fault? It is still under guarantee. If there is no fault how can I get fast charging again.
