Firmware downgrades are not possible. Please try factory resetting your phone to rectify this issue.

apps not able to update as not enough memory

When the apps on my galaxy note try to update, I keep getting the message unable to update as there is not enough memory, but the device memory says there is 242mb available, I have already deleted some photos and videos but keep getting the same message.

Hi,

Please try performing a reset of the settings on your device by doing the following:

Settings > Backup and Reset

Please note you will lose all applications and saved data, so ensure that you back up your device prior to performing the reset.

Question

My GT N7000 is very slow to charge , even after i have replaced the battery.

It can up to 10 hours to charge. Try switching of and on with no avail.

Hi,

Please ensure you are using the standard Samsung charger that came with the handset. If you are using the charger provided with your Galaxy Note then we recommend you search for any available firmware updates.

This can be done by downloading Samsung Kies and connecting your device to your PC via a USB cable.

Alternatively, you can go to Settings > About device > Software update. Please note, some network providers do not offer this facility.

If the issue still persists then reset the device by going to Settings > Back up and reset > Factory data reset. Prior to resetting, please ensure all your files and data are backed up via Samsung Kies.

Hi,

You cannot move apps to SD card. I would advise you to move your pictures and videos to your SD card which will free some space.

How do I stop my sms to become mms.

Since jelly bean update my sms will automatically become mms if too long.
I used to be able to disactivate this function before the upgrade but cannot seem to be able to do it.

My phone cannot find my SDcard.

My phone cannot find SDcard. I cannot take picture, open gallery, send and get picture in LINE or Whatsapp and also cannot use Dropbox. When I try to open gallery or other app, the msg that said " not enough space" come up. However, I have alrady remove everything in my SDcard. Then I try a new SDcard, but it has a same problems.

Question

I have just used Kies to download the latest firmware release to my Galaxy Note GT-N7000, but almost all my most used apps have disappeared.

When I try to download them again from Playstore, the installation fails with the message 'unknown error code during application installation "-24"'. Help! I am disabled and depend on these apps on my phone. Please fix this for me.

Hi,

Your phone may need a factory reset as this could be a firmware glitch. Please backup your phone using Samsung KIES. Perform a factory reset by pressing Menu > settings > Accounts > Backup and reset > Factory data reset . When this is completed please connect your phone to Samsung KIES and restore your phone.

Question

Samsung Galaxy turns off

I am finding that when I have a weak or no signal, then as the phone searches for on I get interference on the screen, the signal then goes to absolute zero and the phone turns off. I then turn it back on and it tells me my battery strength has dropped from near 100% down to anything from 1% to 10%.
Vodafone said to reinstall the phones software but no idea how to do this as my software is all up to date.

Changing the default memory of Messaging

My phone stores all the messages in the sim card by default. I tried looking up in Messages>Settings, and found nothing. Could anyone help me change the default storage of message to the internal memory/SD card.

HTTP Live Streaming (HLS)

The upgrade to Jelly Bean (4.1.2) on the Galaxy Note broke HLS. The result is that the popular BBC iPlayer Radio app, which worked perfectly on the Galaxy Note under ICS, no longer works under Jelly Bean.
The BBC reports in the app overview:
"Known Issues:

- Some Samsung Galaxy users (using 4.1.2 Touchwiz) may find that audio playback does not work for them for live or on-demand programmes. A firmware fix has been deployed by Samsung but may take some time to be rolled out across all networks."

Q - when will this firmware fix actually be rolled out? I have a network-independent (i.e. SIM free unlocked) Galaxy Note 1, and there is certainly no firmware fix from Samsung available either OTA nor via Kies.

I have GT N7000 running 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, i used to download any files on the web through native browser, but lately the downloading doesn't run anymore. I check on the downloads menu and it's nothing. How could it happenned? And tell me to get it works normally again.

No Samsung Kies

Hi, i just bought a samsung note GT-N7000 from a friend. After I reset to factory setting, i found out that there is no Samsung Kies in my device except kies air. I tried to look for the application in Google Play as well as samsung app but to no avail. I wanted to sync my contacts and also upgrading to Jelly Bean but i could not do that because i do not have Samsung Kies in my Galaxy Note. What should i do?
