Hi.

I recommend trying a different SIM card in your device. Alternatively, you can try using the original SIM card in a different device. This will establish whether the issue is with the SIM card or device.

If you still get this error message after trying the above troubleshooting steps, I advise contacting your nearest service centre. Please visit the link below which will aid you in locating it. An engineer will perform a full examination on your device.

Question

Would using an ace charger on an s3 cause any problems?

I recently bought an s3 from a family member, my previous phone was an ace so the charger worked with the s3 too, what im wondering is if this would cause any problems in the short or long-term, such as battery bulge or not holding charge properly (phone will start flickering if being used anywhere between 30-40%, then turn off and be at 1% when turned back on).

Thanks for any help.

Hi.

I recommend performing a factory data reset on your Galaxy S3. You can do this by following these steps:
Settings - Back up and reset - Factory data reset - Reset device - Erase everything.

Performing a factory data reset will erase all data from your device. I advise that you back up your data on Samsung KIES. Please see the link below to find all of the information and tutorials on Samsung KIES:

http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/

If the factory data reset does not remove the error message, I advise taking your Galaxy S3 to your nearest service centre. Please visit the link below which will aid you in locating it:

I hope this helps.

The volume button can be used to adjust the text display shown on the screen. To revert this back to normal, go to a text message and press the volume down button on the left hand side of your handset.
