Hi,

The auto backup album in the gallery is place there by Google+.

If you would like to delete photos permanently you will need to follow these steps;

1. Launch the Google+ application on your Fame
2. Once this is open, tap on the menu key at the bottom left hand side of your handset
3. Tap on settings
4. Select Auto backup
5. Make sure the slider at the top of this page is OFF
6. Now auto backup is switched off you can remove the folder from your phone
7. Head in to your settings and scroll down until you reach your accounts
8. Select Google account
9. Tap on your email account
10. Ensure that ‘Sync Google+ Auto backup’ and ‘Sync Picasa Web albums’ are un ticked in here
11. Next you exit back in to your main Settings menu and select Application Manager
12. Slide across until All applications are displayed on the screen
13. Scroll down until you reach Gallery
14. Select Gallery and tap on Clear Cache and then Clear Data, this will not delete the photos in your gallery
15. Now just power your phone off and on again and the folder should have gone.

Hope this helps,

Thanks

Question

OS upgrade from 4.0.3 to Jelly Bean 4.1.2

I have followed directions on how to use Kies and how to uninstall and reinstall it if it does not work. I can not get Kies to update my GT-I9100. It will not even try. Kies does work for any files or storage issues, but will not upgrade from Ice Cream to Jelly Bean. Is there another way? The phone is new and does not have any issues or defects

Hi,

What OS your phone is running can depend on your network provider.

It is up to them when you receive a newer version of firmware on your phone.

Please get in touch with your provider to check what version you should be running.

Question

Why won't my Galaxy SII turn on or charge?

Recently my phone's battery duration has decreased dramatically, lasting no more than six hours before crashing. When it does shut itself down, it will not start up again once plugged in to the charger. Today, I turned it off to conserve the battery power and now it will not switch on again at all and will not recharge when plugged in. I am not sure whether this is simply a battery problem, i.e. the battery itself has worn out, or whether it is another fault altogether.

The S2 will connect to the internet by either a Wi-Fi connect or through mobile data that you set up with your network provider.

This device is not designed to connect to the internet via cables.

Hi James,

If you are using the default email application pre-installed on your handset you can resend the emails in the Outbox by following the process outlined below:

1) Go to your 'Email' app.

2) Go to the 'Outbox'.

3) Select the email you wish to re-send.

4) Select the 'Forward' icon (arrow pointing right).

5) Enter the recipient's email address and select 'Send'

However, if you are using the Yahoo email app, please be advised this application is a third party application. As these are not developed or maintained by Samsung, unfortunately we are not able to provide technical support for them.

You will need to contact the application's developers for assistance. They may be able to provide technical support, updates or expected release dates of compatible versions for your version of Android, or for your particular model of device.

Hi,

You will need to have an NFC enabled S2. To check this go to Settings>about device>Model number should end with the letter N, if not then your S2 is not compatible with smart switch. You can move information onto your PC using drag and drop however this will be dependent on what you would like to back up.

Thanks.

Question

My Phone is Off till Official Help!!

Hi dear Samsung Support,
As a Samsung Products Consumer, I highly appreciate all the efforts, time you put in order to ease people lives and take innovation to the next level.

However, I can't hide the fact that I had a terrible experience with my S2. Bought it almost 2 years back and countless problems started to pop up after a couple of months ever since. Each time I struggle, pay a lot to fix it.
However, the main point of starting this thread is for guidance. 2 days ago, I have been using my phone normally at noon until it suddenly shuts down. I tried my best rebooting it with no results yet.
Kindly guide me in what should I do as quick as possible, my studies and work are ruined up ever since... And I'n in terrible condition, seriously lost in between.

Thanks in advance!

Question

Passcode has stopped working

My phone was working fine last night, but this morning the passcode does not work. It has been the same one since I have had the phone and it worked yesterday.
I have tried restarting the phone / taking everything out, but no joy. I *really* don't want to do a factory reset if I can avoid it, not least because there is stuff on there that I need in relation to a RTA that I was injured in.
How do I get my phone unlocked? Thank you

Hi Emma,

If you have forgotten your pattern lock or PIN code, you can attempt to enter it up to five times. Depending on your device type, on the fifth attempt you may be given a ‘forgot password’ option. If you enter your Google ID and password, you can reset your pattern or PIN and access your phone. If you’ve forgotten your login or password for Google, then you can reset this at www.gmail.com.

Hope this helps.
