ace 2 crashes after jellybean update

I recently did a hard reboot on my daughters ace 2 as it was freezing a lot and running really slow. I also upgraded it through kies and got jelly bean, but the phone is worse than ever. crashes, shut downs, freezing, super slow? how can I get this phone put back on original system software. how can I get this phone back to working like it used to?

I have upgraded my Galaxy Ace 2 as suggested on Kies to the latest software Android 4.1.2 and done a factory reset but the phone is very slow.

The phone is now very slow and keeps freezing and turning itself off, I am getting fed up with this situation as I like the new software, Can you please help?

Hi Bruce.

To delete a contact. Tap on the contact you want to delete, tap the menu button (To the left of the home button) this will bring up a few options, one of which will be "delete" this is how you delete a contact.

I bought this phone as it said it was open to any Sim, I have just tried changing the sim and its asking for a PIN, I dont remember putting one in when I got the phone last year, Tried 0000, Any ideas?

Galaxy ace 2 freezes and flashes on certain apps...?

Hi everyone, as my title suggests im getting increasingly frustrated..my phone wint liad up mapmyrun, mapmyride,twitter etcc screen flashes and ive tried a factory reset...worked ok for a few days then back to the same thing...anyone any Odessa...greatly appreciated....:)

Since a recent repair on my Ace 2 Ive been unable to send or receive MMS messages. How can I get this feature up and running again?

The repair was to replace a faulty microphone. While it was in the phone was totally wiped. I expected this so everything was backed up on Kies.
They also reloaded the "latest softwear".

You phone may have been reflashed and so all the MMS settings may have been removed.

Why is my mobile network state disconnected?

I try to send an mms and it just hangs saying sending, it says the network isn't connected and will send when connected. But a month on and it still won't send them. I was able to send mms when I first bought my phone but since Christmas I haven't been able to send any. I can't seem to find any way to enable it, and only seems to connect to the internet via Wi-Fi, mobile settings are set for mobile data to be on.

Question

How do I move apps to the SD card (instead of USB storage)?

I'm running out of space on my Galaxy Ace 2's internal storage but I now have a 32GB SD card and want to move some of my apps to the card.

In the Application Manager, many of the apps have a 'Move to SD card' button, but after using this, it looks like the app has been moved to the internal USB storage instead of the SD card.

For example, after doing this on one of my apps, the storage usage is listed as follows:

Storage
Total 12.04MB
Application 2.86MB
USB storage app 9.17NB
Data 4.00KB
SD card 0.00B

I've updated the firmware to the latest version Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

Hi,

Unfortunately, there are not alot of applications that are capable of being saved to the SD card.

We recommend you use your SD card for saving mainly media files, such as photos, videos, music etc, to free up memory for your applications on your internal memory.

Hi,

It is most likely a minor software confliction that is causing this issue to occur.

These minor software issues can easily be resolved by performing a factory reset on your device.

You can perform a factory reset on your device by navigating to the following menu:

Settings > Backup and reset > Factory data reset

Please note you will lose all applications and saved data, including your Google account, so ensure that you back up your device prior to performing the reset. This may help resolve any issues you are having.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace2 GT-18160 updated to 4.1.2 jellybean since then its gone very slow!!!

A while back I updated thru kies the jellybean programme for Samsung G Ace2. It installed all ok with no problems. But ever since I installed it the phone is so slow in operation of any apps or calls etc (seems like its on an egg timer!) Internal Memory is only a qtr full and I have External Memory as well which has only used a minimal amount. Why does it feel like I'm using a mobile phone that's ten years earlier model speed? Can this be resolved? Also I've noticed that the file in My Files Folder called 'apkfile' is missing! Can this be recovered? Is this causing the phone to run apps slow on connection to them?

Hi,

Yes this issue can be resolved, all you have to do is perform a factory data rest.

Please backup your phone using Samsung KIES. Perform a factory reset by pressing Menu > settings > Accounts > Backup and reset > Factory data reset . When this is completed please connect your phone to Samsung KIES and restore your phone.

What is the latest up date for Galaxy ace 2

I recently visited my network provider and they told me that my mobile need updating- he said the battery indicator would be blue on the new updated version. I went on kies and it says theres no update and i also checked my phone under update software and there's not update.

The Ace 2 should be running on Android Version 2.3.6, a software upgrade will not change the LED indicator colours.
