Questions & Answers for samsung Galaxy Europa

Question

Short battery life?

How many hours standby can you realistically get from this phone?
It is on a 3G network but even with minimal calls (and very little WiFi/Bluetooth use), I can't get 24 hours out of it. Surely it should be better than this?

Same here I can only get 12 to 24 hours batt life, and it keeps dropping out of 3G all the time and the only way to get it back is turning the phone off then on again which of course wastes the battery with all it's start up rubbish!!! Not happy with this phone and my provider won't let me change it for a better one, it's taken me nine months just to get them to send it back to manufacturer to see why it keeps going wrong with 3G etc!!!! btw I don't use apps only the ones that came with the phone and I don't know what most of them are for!!!

Go onto the Android Market and download "Juice Defender." I did this with my Europa, and it was the first thing i did when i got my SII. It's a brilliant app, and i can't recommend it highly enough. Your battery life will improve massively.

Hello, the 'pc internet on your phone' is still not available on the Samsung Galaxy Europa yet but will do when the Android 2.2 update comes around for the phone. This is because only on Android 2.2 + later Android versions will have that option.

I hoped this helped!

I have replaced the Micro SD card with an 8GB in my Europa, but it does not see it and I can not mount it.
I formated it with FAT32 on my pc and it works ok. but my Galaxy Europa does not see it. If I eject it after 2minutes, I get a error msg on the top status bar with memory removed. Every time I access the set-up to mount it, the "mount SD" is grayed out and I canot mount or format it.

Question

Why won't the alarm work on a morning?

I have had my Galaxy Europa since the end of January. The alarm does not go off on a morning. I have been told if I put it on flight mode I won't receive messages or calls but the alarm should go off. It doesn't. I am now having to use the old fashioned alarm clock to ensure I'm not late for work every day. It's strange because when I test the alarm during the day it always works and the shop say they've not heard of this being a problem.

That happened to me, the phone basically does stuff on the internet by itself a lot of the time. The best way to stop this is to make sure you've updated to froyo, then hold down the power button and switch mobile network off. This will stop it using the internet without you wanting it to, but if you want to use the internet again you'll have to switch it back on.
