Yes you can use an app called QuickOffice that comes pre-loaded on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 or several others from the app market, to edit Microsoft Office spreadsheets or other office files.

You need an adapter to give you a USB socket, and then you can plug in a wired keyboard, or some wireless keyboard dongles (as long as they are low power). You can also use a Bluetooth keyboard.

Hi Clarke, this would not be controlled by the keyboard, there is an option within your tablet called T9 which is a basic spell check.

We can confirm that yes, you can use the tablet while it is charging and, as far as we are aware, it should not reduce the battery life as the device is still on the charger and being charged while it is in use.
